At our November 2023 Meeting Mission Hills Neighborhood Council Board Members were recognized for their service by Assemblymember Luz Rivas. She shared on Facebook:

I was happy to stop by the Mission Hills Neighborhood Council’s monthly meeting and share state resources, policy updates, and information on upcoming #AD43 events.
Each community throughout Los Angeles has a neighborhood council with dedicated board members who meet monthly to see how they can uplift their region. To meet they must establish a quorum, since the pandemic, neighborhood councils have been struggling to do so.

To help neighborhood councils conduct their meetings, I was a proud coauthor of SB 411, a bill authorizing neighborhood councils to use alternative teleconferencing methods to establish a quorum remotely.

Mission Hills is one neighborhood in Los Angeles that will benefit from SB 411.
